Dia de los Muertos

This weekend I went with my family to one of our favorite stores.  They were celebrating Dia de los Muertos.  At their craft table, I decorated a sugar skull with glitter, glue, markers and sequins.  I had so much fun!  The lady who owns the store took my picture in front of the skeleton as you can see in this picture.  I am holding the skull that I decorated:

We used my sugar skull in our Dia de los Muertos display at home:

along with the mask I made at school:

Very Owl-ie!

My mama and I made these owl-ie clip bookmarks with her two-step Owl Punch and some jumbo colored paper clips we bought at Target. These are presents for some special people. The first two sets are for my new first grade teachers! I can't wait for school to start! :-)

And these are for a friend who is coming over for a playdate...she loves pink!

I can't wait to give these presents to my teachers and friends. Thanks for stopping by my blog...and please leave a comment!! :-)

Simple Cupcake Thanks

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted to my blog! My Mama had to catch-up on pictures of all my creations. I've still been coloring and crafting!

Over the weekend Mama and I stamped away in our craft room. We had so much fun!

When we visited my Nana in Michigan, I got some great presents from her friends! These are the thank you notes I will send to them. I really like stamping and then coloring all the white space! And I really like using Mama's markers! This cupcake stamp (Simple Birthday Thanks) is my favorite!

Everybody got something at Archiver's! I got this cute little girl stamp when we went to Archiver's with Nana--only I call it Aardvarks instead! Mama says this stamp reminds her of me. I added some streaks of color to her hair...isn't it cool?!

Thanks for visiting me!

Tea Party

While visiting my Nana, we stopped in for a bite to eat and some tea at a fun place called Teapots & Treasures. I had my very first real tea party with Nana and Mama!

It was so much fun. We had real teapots and teacups and our server was a little girl! I liked my teapot best!

Mama and Nana liked their tea and scones too:

I can't wait to go there again!

Easter wishes for school

We had an Easter egg hunt and spring celebration at my school last Friday. My Mama and I made these mini milk cartons for my class. Aren't they cute? We have lots of different colors: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Lovely Lilac. We had a great time making these.

We used lots of Mama's stamp sets such as Flight of the Butterfly, Forest Friends and Cheep Talk.
And finished it off with my own stamp! I almost forgot what we put in them...Hershey's cookies 'n' cream eggs...YUM! Thanks for looking!

This is a bracelet I made for my friend Sienna who celebrated her birthday last month. Her party was so much fun--we all dressed up as pixies & fairies. Here I am with my friend Delena:

Kraft day with "Aunt" Kate!

My "Aunt" Kate invited me to her house for a craft day! She's a real artist and has all kinds of cool and magic stuff in her house. But first, I wanted to make little boxes for the presents I had for her. Here I am hard at work in my mama's craft room:I made two matchbook boxes for a necklace and a pair of earrings. Here are my boxes--they match my polka dot jacket!Aunt Kate had the best project for me! A cute little birdie in a cage. I brought some of my own paper and she had everything we needed to cut the paper and put it together. Here is the one I made:
And here I am with Aunt Kate and our projects. Doesn't she look like a fun person? She really loves kids and I had a great time with her. Thank you Aunt Kate!Oh, and you just have to see this pretty corner of her sunroom...Mama says it's just "lovely".

Aaah, pretty! I can't wait for the next craft day!

My first post!

Hi everybody. I hope you like looking at all my crafts. Here is the necklace I made for my Great-Grandma Mabel's 100th birthday. That's right, she is 100 years old! WOW. The whole family went to Ohio to celebrate with her. I made this necklace for her using 100 beads! The week before we went to Ohio we celebrated our 100th day of school so I took in a picture of GG Mabel for show & tell--here she is at her party. She's sweet!
