Dia de los Muertos

This weekend I went with my family to one of our favorite stores.  They were celebrating Dia de los Muertos.  At their craft table, I decorated a sugar skull with glitter, glue, markers and sequins.  I had so much fun!  The lady who owns the store took my picture in front of the skeleton as you can see in this picture.  I am holding the skull that I decorated:

We used my sugar skull in our Dia de los Muertos display at home:

along with the mask I made at school:

Happy Day of the Dead!

Arden,
So happy to see your blog update. I love how you added your projects on the display with the photos of family and friends. Your little sugar skull came out just great and the coloring is just PERFECT on your mask. I can see you will be following in your mommy's footsteps as a designer one day.
Great Job! Ms. Diane

Hi Arden,
What a great project you made, I love the upside down heart for the nose on your mask and all the wonderful colors, just beautiful. I noticed in the picture of the skeleton at the store, she too has a heart (a twig one)! The sugar mask is also very pretty, I never would have thought to decorate a skull, now whenever I look at a picture of a skull it won't scare me! Thanks for teaching all of us about Dia de los Muteros!
Luv ya,
Nana
